1 GHz bandwidth for the 1.3 mm G2 receiver

The 1.3 mm G2 receiver is now available with a 1 GHz bandwidth in combination with the 1 MHz filter banks. A new down converter and IF processor for the 1 MHz filter banks has been built and installed. The 230G2 receiver can be operated in two modes: narrow (512 MHz bandwidth) and wide (1 GHz bandwidth). The narrow mode is identical to the old mode of operation. The wide mode allows only the 1 MHz filter bank to be connected, no other backend can be connected at the same time to 230G2. This is due to a necessary shift of center frequency of the receiver. The mode is specified in the command
RECEIVER 230G2 [ options].
The default is narrow mode (512 MHz).
