Abstract: We used the IRAM Interferometer to map the J=1-0 and J=2-1
lines of
as well as the continuum at 112 and 225 GHz of
the W3(OH) region. Towards the cluster of water masers W3(
)
we observed compact continuum emission at both frequencies with
spectral index of 3.6 from hot dust emission. The
maps
show more extended gas with the most massive molecular clump
towards W3(
) and none towards W3(OH) itself. We derive a peak
column density of
at the
maser
position. Dust and line fluxes are both consistent with a mass
of 10
. Peaks of molecular line channel maps of
,
, and
show an E-W orientation similar to the
cluster of
masers.
