IRAM has established an ALMA user support center, which forms a node of the European ALMA Regional Center (ARC). The ARC nodes are providing support to the community in the preparation of ALMA observations and in data processing and analysis. More about the IRAM ARC node.

50th Young European Radio Astronomers Conference (YERAC)

Registration is now open for the 50th YERAC - Virtual edition! The event will be hosted by IRAM on 24-27 August 2021. Check the School & Workshops and the IRAM web pages for details.

I-TRAIN online training sessions with the European ARC Network

The European ARC organises a series of virtual, hands-on, training sessions for the ALMA user community, starting December 2020. Check the School & Workshops page for details!

ALMA Cycle 8    (observations from Oct. 2021 to Sep. 2022)

• ALMA Cycle 8 Call for Proposals is now closed (deadline 21 April 2021).
• This Cycle, ALMA is introducing distributed peer review. To optimise the success of this review method, PIs are invited to update their expertise on the ALMA science portal.
• The call for proposals in March 2020 was suspended due to COVID-19.

ALMA Cycle 7    (observations from Oct. 2019 to Sep. 2021)

• Cycle 7 observation april 2021 ststus update.
• ALMA RESUMED SCIENCE OBSERVATIONS ON 17 MARCH 2021. This results from a long process towards the recovery of the array after suspension of observations in March 2020 due to COVID-19.
• Decision regarding the extension of ALMA proprietary times due to COVID-19.
