The Receiver Group supports and maintains receivers for PdBi and Pico Veleta, covering frequencies from about 70 to 370 GHz. Current developments being carried out by Grenoble and Grenada staff include:
  • Receivers: Multichannel receivers for PdBI, new receivers for the 30-m elescope
  • SIS Mixers: Improvements in performance and frequency coverage
  • Cryogenics: Maintainance of existing systems, commissioning of new hybrid and closed-cycle systems.
  • Optics: New feed systems, automated measurements.
  • Control: Remote control and monitoring of receivers on Ethernet
  • Measurement: Instrumentation for mm-wave device measurements
