September, 20-22, Grenoble MINATEC

In the framework of the LabEx project FOCUS (Focal Plane Array for Universe Sensing), IRAM will participate to the MEMS & IMAGING Summit 2017 at MINATEC in Grenoble, from September 20 to 22.

FOCUS is a French research project assembling researchers and engineers from higher education and industry with the objective of developing high performance detectors for astrophysics.
The consortium’s expertise is not only applied to ground-based and space observations, but can also be valorised in the fields of medicine, biology and environment security.

Under the coordination of Université Grenoble-Alpes, 60 researchers and engineers from 9 laboratories are working in close collaboration on three main research topics:

• Visible
• Infrared
• and mm-wave imagery.

This project has been funded with 9.5 M Euros by ANR.
