Meeting on cryoelectronic devices - Kryo 2011

Grenoble, Autrans (France), October 2-4,  2011

In 2011, the yearly meeting on cryoelectronic devices will be organized by IRAM (Institut de Radioastronomie Millimétrique / Institut für Radioastronomie im Millimeterwellenbereich).

Since 25 years the meeting provides an active discussion platform for the German cryoelectronic research community. Exceptionally, this year the meeting will be held near Grenoble, France. The Grenoble area hosts a large number of active research groups working on superconducting devices and cryotechnology. These groups are invited to participate and therefore the meeting will also allow to generate new or reactivate existing contacts beyond national borders.

As during the past years, Kryo 2011 will offer wide possibilities for scientists and engineers to present and discuss their latest research results about the basics and applications of cryoelectronics.

Kryo 2011 is intended to focus on the following topics:

  • Novel superconducting devices and measurement methods
  • New types of Josephson contacts and hybrid circuits
  • SQUID´s, SQIF´s and their applications
  • Cryodetectors
  • Integrated superconducting circuits
  • Passive and active microwave devices and their properties
  • Quantumdynamics und Qubits
  • Cooling Systems

As during the last years and in order to enhance attractiveness of the Kryo 2011 for students and young scientists, the meeting will start with a tutorial on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 3 p.m. and end on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at about 2 p.m.
Guided tours at IRAM and the European Sychrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) will be organized on Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday morning.
