IRAM hosts several important scientific events during the year, including the IRAM annual summer school, lectures and workshops. Moreover, the year 2009 marked an important milestone in the history of the institute as it was the 30th anniversary of its creation. In order to celebrate this jubilee, IRAM organized an international conference held in Grenoble. "To the edge of the universe - 30 years of IRAM" has not only retraced IRAM's history but also examined new scientific horizons that will be opened by the next generation of radio telescopes.
