From August 24 to 27, 2021, IRAM will host the virtual 50th Young European Radio Astronomers Conference (YERAC).
The YERAC is a real opportunity for graduate and doctoral students, as well as young postdoctoral researchers to meet together, present their work, tap into different radioastronomical subjects, and discuss research done by others. The YERAC is a unique combination of participants' presentations and lectures from senior scientists.
The YERAC dates are as follows:
Participation in the YERAC is by recommendation. Each candidate is expected to provide a letter of recommendation by their direct supervisor or the Director of their institute. The same letter needs to identify the candidate's research area, the year in which the PhD a/o MSc is expected to be completed or has already been completed, the name of the supervisors and the candidate's university or institutional affiliation. Candidates who are not yet enrolled in a PhD program should be close to obtaining a Master's degree or equivalent. Applications of undergraduate students will only be accepted in exceptional cases. Recommendation letters are to be e-mailed to the LOC by the registration deadline.
Candidates are requested to proceed with the registration as soon as possible. Participants will be selected based on the information in their online application, and ensuring that a broad range of radioastronomical subjects are covered, from low to high frequency. Priority will be given to the registrants who have registered for the YERAC 2020. The final programme, list of participants and connexion details will be announced after the registration deadline. Each participant will have to give a presentation.
